West Norwood Peregrines: love is in the air

An update on our Peregrines at St. Luke’s church in West Norwood

Live theatre tonight and tomorrow!: "The Habit of Art" and "The Croft"

We’re off to the theatre tonight, after #Clapforourcarers: the 8pm celebration of our NHS etc staff. See story here.

The Original Theatre Company's production of The Habit of Art can be viewed online at 8:15pm. The play gained five star reviews when it toured the UK in 2018, and was due to reopen in the UK then New York, before the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.

Social distancing

You must now only be outside your home in accordance with government advice. When outside, you must always be at least six feet (two metres) apart from everyone else except members of your household. 

#ClapForOurCarers

The general public are being encouraged to give a huge round of applause to NHS staff on Thursday 26 March 8pm. The campaign on social media is to encourage people to #ClapForOurCarers - be it from their balcony, garden, windows or perhaps just outside your front door. See image below.

Lambeth Libraries closed

As cinemas, venues, museums etc all closed our Libraries remained open to provide their essential service to our community. However, in accordance with the Government’s announcements, all Libraries are now closed for the foreseeable future.

Helping your neighbours (Knights Hill ward area)

The W Norwood CV Mutual Aid (WhatsApp) group, formed by local residents Emma, Keira and Steve, now has over 500 volunteers. The group is ready to offer non-medical support, throughout the Knights Hill ward area:

  • Picking up shopping/medication
  • A friendly phone call
  • Posting mail
  • Delivering urgent supplies
  • Helping sort out pre-paid gas/electric top ups

during these difficult times. The leaflet below has been delivered to just about all households in the ward.
