Each ward in Lambeth has a Safer Neighbourhood Panel (SNP) – sometimes also called a Safer Neighbourhood Board – which brings police and communities together to set local policing and crime priorities, review safety concerns and support collaborative problem-solving. These panels form part of the Metropolitan Police approach to ensuring that policing reflects the needs of the people who live and work in each area. These are public meetings and the community are encouraged to attend. Meeting details will be posted below. If you are not sure which ward you live in - you can check that here
The next Gipsy Hill Safer Neighbourhood Panel meeting is on:
When: Thursday 11 December
Time: 7pm - 8pm
Where: New Covenant Church Equipping People, 2-12 Berridge Road, SE191EF.
This is the quarterly meeting which sets priorities for the local community police team Gipsy Hill | Your area | Metropolitan Police
It will begin with a report back from the police on progress against the priorities agreed at the last panel meeting, These were:
- theft of and from motor vehicles,
- violence against girls and women
- shoplifting.
The Police website indicates that reported crime in Gipsy Hill over the two months to end October was dominated by anti-social behaviour and violence and sexual offences, with burglary well behind.
This will be the communities opportunity to hear what happened in November, input your concerns and help agree the priorities for the next three months.
