Council weighs up long-term leisure centre plans

Lambeth Council’s Cabinet (Monday 13 September 2021) is to be asked to agree to a one-year extension of the Greenwich Leisure Limited (GLL/Better) contract next year, with a proposed plan to bring all facilities back under council management from April 2023. This would include our Health & Leisure Centre as well as the Brixton, Clapham, Ferndale, Flaxman and Streatham leisure facilities.

Low traffic neighbourhood consultations are open

Lambeth Council is seeking your views on the Railton and Oval to Stockwell LTNs,. The views of all who live, work and/or travel in the LTN area are sought up to the closing date of 12 October 2021.

Leigham Court Road resurfacing

We have learnt that the section of Leigham Court Road from Rockhampton Road to St. Julians Farm Road will be closed for resurfacing over the period from the evening of Thursday 9 to the morning of Saturday 11 September 2021.

Ward Boundary changes: final report to be published

Further to our previous stories on the planned reorganisation of the local ward boundaries, we have heard that the Local Government Boundary Commission for England has brought forward its reporting date for the publication of its recommendations from early October to Tuesday 14 September 2021.

Station to Station health & wellbeing project

Station to Station Business Improvement District has received funding to work with West Norwood and Tulse Hill’s local businesses and communities to reimagine how businesses can prioritise health and wellbeing. Funding has been provided by the Design Council.
