News

Queen of the South, the much-loved pub on Norwood Road in Tulse Hill, has announced that it will be closing. The news was shared with the community in a statement posted to the pub’s Instagram account on 13 December.

As part of our Green Norwood project we highlight zero packaging shopping and there is no better example of that than our local fruit and veg stall outside the Co-Op on Norwood Road run by the brilliant Tina and Ross.

We reported last April on the plans by Transport for London (TfL), in partnership with Lambeth Council, to commence major improvement works on the A23 Streatham Hill corridor. These works will include protected cycle lanes and dedicated bus lanes in both directions. We can now give an update on these works, which are set to continue until spring 2027.

Streetworks Update

About StreetWorks

StreetWorks is a unique community-led project to improve Norwood and Tulse Hill.  The project is funded by Transport for London and supported by officers at Lambeth Council. The Norwood Forum, the Tulse Hill Forum, local councillors and community groups are working together with residents, businesses, schools and road users to design a better space, remove the one-way system at Tulse Hill and provide training and support for future local projects.
