Applications open for the Old Vic’s free Theatre Club programme

Applications are now open for Term 3 of Theatre Club, the Old Vic free 8-week creative programme for adults (18+) who face barriers to cultural engagement. This term’s focus will be improvisation! 

What is Theatre Club? 
A free 8-week course at The Old Vic for adults facing barriers to the arts. It’s a welcoming, supportive space to come together each week and explore theatre-making through playful, creative activities and shared conversation. This term focuses on improvisation, led by theatre practitioner Aoife O’Sullivan, with support from Wellbeing Facilitator Ella Zgorska. 

Who it’s for?
The Old Vic would love to hear from adults (18+) who: 

  • Are curious about trying improv, and have little or no previous theatre experience  
  • Have experienced barriers to accessing arts opportunities  
  • Would like to build confidence and connect with others in a welcoming group  

Dates:
Tuesday 9 June – Tuesday 28 July 2026 

What to expect: 

  • 8 weekly creative workshops  
  • A free visit to see a production at The Old Vic  
  • A backstage tour and end-of-year celebration  
  • Access and travel support, as required  
  • The chance to join the OV Community Network for future free events and opportunities
