"I started Here for the Drama Academy back in 2022 because when I was younger, I could never find anywhere that focused purely on acting for screen. Everything was triple-threat, musical theatre style — and I just wanted to act.
So this is for the kids who feel the same. The ones who love film and TV, who want to learn how it really works — from being on set to auditioning and even working with agents."
"I’m Milly — South London born and bred, and I’m an actor, best known for EastEnders (Dotty Cotton) or CBBC’s All at Sea (Hannah Enright).
We run classes in Dulwich (Rosendale Primary School) every Saturday:
Minis (ages 3–5): 9:30–10:30 AM
Minis (ages 5–7): 10:35–11:35 AM
Juniors (ages 8–11): 11:45 AM–1:15 PM
Pros (ages 12–18): 1:30–3:00 PM
At HFTD, everything we do centres around screen acting — learning to work with the camera, take direction naturally, and act truthfully in close-up. Each year, every group films a short film on location with a professional crew. We also regularly tape in class with industry standard high-res recording equipment, and the students get to keep their footage.
All our teachers are working actors currently in the industry. We’re also connected to some of the top children’s talent agencies in the UK, and we help many of our kids get signed, and once students are signed, we offer support with self-tapes and auditions — so they’re never left figuring it out alone.
Whether your child dreams of being on TV or just wants a space to build confidence and have fun, we make sure they feel seen, supported and inspired.
We’ve been open since 2022 and now have several other locations across South London — so if Saturdays aren’t ideal, we also run weekday classes in Balham and Beckenham.
We’ve got a few spaces left in some of the Dulwich groups - and you can book a free trial at www.hftdacademy.co.uk
We look forward to meeting your child soon!
