Julian’s Primary School in Streatham has reopened on a temporary site following a serious fire in late August that left its original building unusable. Lambeth Council worked closely with the school to secure the former Goldfinch Primary site on Cunliffe Street, allowing all pupils to remain together.
The fire, which broke out shortly after midnight on 23 August, caused significant damage - destroying 40% of the roof and leaving much of the building water-damaged. The Streatham site remains closed while recovery plans continue.
To support the school community, the PTA has launched a Crowdfunder to raise much-needed funds for the children and their learning environment. Donations can be made here.
