Volunteer to help your community

We publish weekly the specific volunteering opportunities advertised on the behalf of local community and voluntary organisations by Lambeth Council: Team Lambeth. Lambeth also maintains a pool of potential volunteers, and you can apply to join by filling in the online form here. You will then receive volunteering opportunities on a weekly basis. All volunteers will be given additional guidance on how to stay safe and protect vulnerable people when requests for volunteering support are made.

The Crystal Palace Christmas crowdfunder has been launched by CPF with the support of Palace App and The Secret Garden who are donating a tree worth £300.

Protection of local views

Lambeth is consulting on its draft Local Views Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) 2020 which has been prepared to assist with the management of the locally protected views set out in Policy Q25 of the Draft Revised Lambeth Local Plan, 2020. Our local views from Norwood Park, Knights Hill and Gipsy Hill are included. Has the Council identified all the views from these sites that should be protected? Are there other views that should be added and therefore given the same protection?

The Station to Station Business Directory now includes a fully updated section for ‘home delivery and click & collect’, to highlight all the local businesses open during the current lockdown. This includes those who are essential stores and already offered home delivery (eg Buywise pet store) but also those who have either adapted their business or moved to online platforms - many of the local cafes, House of Cards, Wear Abouts school uniform shop, etc.
