Please donate to support Norwood Forum

Can you help?
As the saying goes - every little counts.
Please donate 'a ticket' of any value to support your local community forum.
Whatever you can afford will be hugely appreciated.

Please read on for more on why we are running this campaign:

Along with other local neighbourhood forums, Norwood Forum has been seed funded by Lambeth Council through the Lambeth Forum Network (LFN) since the late 1990's. We must apply annually for the small grant (most recently £5,500) and produce a detailed monitoring report at the end of each year. The grant was to cover core costs and we used it to pay for administrator time, insurance, website, running events and printing. In November last year we learnt at short notice that Lambeth was terminating this grant. We have no other income and this small annual grant is what enabled our committee, made up of annually elected local volunteers, to do the work that we do.

Lambeth will continue to support the LFN through officer support, with quarterly meetings and information-sharing. Also, the network will continue to be consulted on key Council initiatives. This we welcome, but to exist we are actively seeking other funding to cover at least our basic costs. We are grateful for the help and support of Integrate CIC with their invaluable advice on making funding applications - but - we would be incredibly grateful for any donations to keep us afloat.

Why support us?

  • We work hard to know what's going on and bring it to your attention using only verified source material, especially via our News and Events webpages
  • We reflect the communities concerns with our detailed responses to public consultations like planning applications and policy issues like the Gambling Policy, often working in partnership with organisations like Station to Station
  • We organise and support local campaigns such as ScrapTheYard, Sites 18 &19 and currently Transform Tulse Hill
  • We run public 'meet the candidates' meetings (hustings) so the community can directly question those that seek to represent us politically
  • We run small grant schemes to fund local not-for-profit grass-roots projects
  • We work with dozens of local organisations both to support and raise awareness of their work, and as close collaborators on our projects: Green Norwood (environment), Thriving Norwood (health &wellbeing), Safer Norwood (community safety) and Travel Norwood (public transport & active travel)
  • ... and so much more.

If we are new to you - then please get in touch to learn more about our work and check out our website - www.norwoodforum.org, and if you know us well - we always want to hear from you too about the issues that matter most to you - info@norwoodforum.org

So, we are seeking the ongoing support of our community to help keep the vibrant community asset that we hope you will agree is Norwood Forum, going for years to come:

Thank you
