Dulwich Picture Gallery: volunteering

There are two interesting volunteer opportunities at Dulwich Picture Gallery, just down the road in West Dulwich:

“Volunteer Community Curators

We are currently looking for new Volunteer Community Curators to work with Dulwich Picture Gallery to co create a new display at the Gallery in 2020 on the theme of Journeys, where we will be using our artworks to open up discussions about art, identity and belonging. The Community curators will work in partnership with the Gallery curatorial team to co-create the Journeys display, they will select the artworks, draw out the narratives and write the interpretation. We are looking for volunteers who have lived experience and / or a personal connection to the theme of migration.

The project will run from October -December with the group meeting weekly on Tuesdays and full training will be provided. We will be running information days where you can find out more about the project on Tuesday 11 and Thursday 19 September 2.00-4.00pm at the Gallery.
