Rathbone Youth Centre needs Volunteer Learning Mentors

Rathbone Society is an organisation that among other things supports young people through promoting independence and life skills, supporting people to try new things and creating opportunities for people to come together. The Rathbone Youth Centre needs Volunteer Learning Mentors for their Inspiring Learning programme.

Learning Mentors provide 1-to-1 homework and GCSE revision support for young people aged 11-16 for one hour a week. Previous experience not necessary. The programme operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Friday 4:30 – 8pm

The Inspiring Learning programme aims to:

  • Help Improve a young person’s study skills
  • Remove barriers to learning
  • Improve educational attainment
  • Improve self-esteem and confidence
  • Improve self-efficacy and
  • Long-term employability
