The webinar will cover the journey to fostering and the impact fostering has on the lives of children in Lambeth, and the training and support we provide if you become a foster carer.

The "Be the difference. Become a foster carer" campaign was launched earlier this year to reach more people who want to contribute to the lives of children in our community. Being a foster parent means caring for someone else’s child as part of your family.

Who can foster? We welcome applications from everyone with a passion for caring. You just need to be over 21, have a spare room and permanent UK residency.

Council tax renumeration for foster carers. From 1 April 2021, all Lambeth approved foster carers, providing they are actively fostering a child, are eligible for a 100% council tax renumeration, regardless of where they live. This will be provided for the duration of time that they are actively fostering a child.
