Volunteers needed at MHA Communities South London

MHA Communities South London support older people to live independently in their own homes and communities for as long as possible. They offer a variety of exciting social activities and services for people aged 55 and over and are now seeking volunteers to help.

MHA is the largest charity care provider in the UK. The charity's mission is to inspire the best care and wellbeing at every stage of later life. MHA have advised the following on their roles for volunteers:

"Where and when:
Our activities are delivered Monday to Friday at MHA The Wilderness on Shirley Church Road and other venues around Croydon.

What our volunteers do:
We’re in need of volunteers to support our friendly team with green care activities, coffee mornings, lunch club, gardening and much more! Our volunteers might be serving drinks and meals, setting up activities and/or supporting our members to enjoy their time with us to the full.

To find out more:
To get involved or find out more, please contact Katherine Stubbs, the Volunteering Co-ordinator: Katharine.stubbs@mha.org.uk

Alternatively, you can find out more on our website.

Please note- Our volunteers need to be aged 16 or over. We believe that it is our responsibility to do all that we can to support our members, residents, colleagues and volunteers alike to live, and work, in an environment that is safe, free from harm and promotes wellbeing. Therefore it is our expectation that roles involving 1-1 contact with Scheme members or residents require volunteers to be double vaccinated against Covid-19."
