Weimar Cinema course

News from West Norwood Picturehouse:

Fancy spending an evening talking cinema, meeting fellow film fans, and getting an insight into some of the most influential films of all time?

Come along to West Norwood Picturehouse on Friday 24 February 2023 for a film theory session exploring, investigating, and examining the legacy of Weimar cinema following our current season of classic German film.

The session will be led by Picturehouse Film Programmer Rose Butler and will begin with a talk outlining the importance and legacy of the cinema movement that would come to shape the generic blueprints for horror, science fiction, crime and romance cinema that we still recognise today.

Taking place at the cosy Community Room at West Norwood Picturehouse, this will be a relaxed evening session and discussion open to anyone interested.   The session will run from 6:30 - 9:00pm with a short break part way through.

Whether you're part of the industry, an avid film goer, or you're just curious to know a little more, join us! Feel free to grab a snack and a drink from the bar before going in!.

Tickets for the evening class are £10, £8 for Picturehouse members.
