Artist clears his clutter for charity - 12th & 13th May 2012

Fans of artist Timothy Sutton are in for a real treat in May when this famous West Norwood artist will be clearing out his studio for a Spring Clearance Art Sale to coincide with the Dulwich Open House event.His studio can be found at Carlew House, East Place, London SE27 9JW and doors will be open 11am to 6pm, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th May. Free entrance.
Determined to reduce the clutter of his work space, Timothy will be selling past works at knock down prices and also giving 10% of his sales to the Trinity Hospice charity. So as well as picking up a bargain visitors can help a good cause at the same time. On sale will be his signature pet portraits as well as early abstract work, acrylic figurative paintings, photography, drawings and sketches. He will be exhibiting nearly a decade's worth of work on the walls and asTimothy says "it's a bit like having my very own retrospective so I'm really looking forward it".
Timothy Sutton specialises in portrait work using traditional oil on canvas techniques to create stunningly realistic pictures. He believes the secret of a good painting is not to just capture the likeness, but also the character be it flesh or fur. Timothy has exhibited at the Mall Galleries, the Dulwich Picture Gallery, various solo and group shows and is a regular exhibitor at national Art Fairs.
