NHS services over Christmas

Our local health service (South East London) has written to advise of likely reduced services over the coming few weeks.

Doctors are striking from Wed 20 to Sat 23 December, and again from Wed 3 to Tues 9 January.

This is a time of year when our hospitals are always very busy.

Bank Holidays can affect the opening hours of local pharmacies. If you need pharmacy service over the bank holiday, please plan ahead if you can. See our guide to the opening hours for pharmacies.
Only go to the Emergency Department (A&E) or call 999 for a life-threatening emergency or serious injury
If you are unwell, contact your GP
Outside GP hours, go to NHS 111 online
For a mental health emergency go to NHS 111 online
And you can also visit your local pharmacy for expert advice and medicines.
